1-7-08 Announcing the jury and the new donation system for the main prize!

Well, it is time to reveal new things about the MSXdev'08: revealing the mysterious jurors and the main prize!

At least we have a jury for this year's edition of the contest! As every edition, we've tried to find another great team of MSXers to judge the games and we think we've finally done it! So we are proud to present... the jury!: this time, Takamichi Suzukawa, Enrico Barbisan and S.T.A.R. are the ones to rank the presented games and set a winner for the contest! (not an easy task, that's for sure!). From the MSXDEV Team we want to wish them good luck!

Apart from unveiling this year's jury, we want to announce the new system chosen for the main prize! The MSXDEV Team has been considering it since months and finally we decided to open a PayPal donation system, in which every MSX user can make a donation for the winner of the contest. No matter if the donation is small, if you feel that you want to help the contest to come up with a big prize just donate, as every donation will be highly appreciated. In order to set a donation, just click on the PayPal "Donate" button at the home page or at the Status secion/Main Prize, and fill the form. It is fast and secure!

For now, we already have an anonymous user who has donated 60 euro! That's a nice amount of cash to start with, isn't it? We hope we can finally offer a cool prize to the winners!

[news update: hap (20 euros) and dvik (20 euros) have just set donations for the final prize! Thank you very much for your support!]

 22-6-08 Announcing the MSXdev'08 3rd entry!

It is always nice to see new teams in the MSX scene, that join efforts to give us fresh new MSX productions. This time we must welcome a new development team announcing their MSXdev'08 entry: Knightmare III: Raziël's Revenge!

Team-RyJuZo is a family-based new MSX development team that has been creating lots of tools and designing this project since months. This way, RYan (Father), JUlian (son) and renZO (son), are planning to surprise us with Knightmare III: Raziël's Revenge, a direct sequel of Maze of Galious but instead of exploring a different genre for the saga, as Shalom did, they plan a game with a gameplay similar to the first game on the series. Enough to make us wanting for more info, uh? We will keep track of this one!
